Calling someone a hero for going sober for October is ridiculous to me.

Why should they call for anyone to sponsor them to do this?

If you drink that much that not drinking for a month then going on a huge binge is a big deal then just donate yourself what you would of spent in drink!

What gets on my tits is that we also have Stoptober too. Give up fags AND booze in October? Fuck that shit, that's when my birthday is.

Stopping alcohol for one month does not make someone a hero, even if it is for charity. It saddens me that it's advertised as going sober and standing proudly alongside someone with cancer 😠

My ds aged 10 was diagnosed with a brain tumour 3rd Jan. 5th Jan he had a six hour op to remove it. He has had 31 sessions (6 weeks worth) of high dose radiotherapy and four cycles of high dose chemotherapy, with stem cell retrieval and transplant.

Now THAT'S a hero 💛💛💛 🎗
