luvabella dolls

Having searched high and low for a luvabella doll I have finally tracked one down (last one in an indendant toy shop). All this 'must have' toy business has got me flumoxed. I know it's just a doll but no one wants their child to be disappointed on the big day. What really pisses me off is the fact that these dolls are now being sold on ebay for fifty pounds more than the shop price. Even the shops are reluctant to take a pre-order.
It is no better than ticket touts except in this case its toy touts.
So much for the season of good will

Bloody hell - who gave Chucky a baby sister?

Maudlinmaud · 19/09/2017 09:29

My dd doesn't want this, I'm quite relieved about that. I've bought into the Christmas buying frenzy previously, many many times.
Remember the singing toddler Elsa doll? Paid way over the odds for that on ebay -like a fool. Wasn't even glanced at.
We also have a fur real friends unicorn which is like new because it was barely played with. Expensive ornaments really.

TheHeraldOfAndraste · 19/09/2017 09:33

And that thing has to live in your house for almost 3 months. Best of luck, OP.

Nousernameforme · 19/09/2017 09:37

Those fingerlings are adorable and not a bad price either pops them on the list

Maudlinmaud · 19/09/2017 09:42

Nousername we have a fingerling, the entertainer had a promotion on a few months back and dd got one as a treat. I enjoyed playing with it too, they're very sweet. I think they can interact with each other if you have more than one but I'm not sure.

MyDcAreMarvel · 19/09/2017 09:48

I don't think it's wrong , plenty of people could pre order and put them on an interest free cc if they were organised enough.

Bumbumtaloo · 19/09/2017 09:50

Nousernameforme I may be slightly over invested in these bloody monkeys! I pre-ordered the glitter ones for my DD's, seems like forever ago, as it would seem each outlet has their own exclusive one. Toys R us are having a unicorn, Smyths have a Sloth and the Entertainer the glitter ones. Lots of fakes on Amazon and Ebay and some not even cheaper.

Odereida - Grandchild has no idea about Luvabella so wouldn't be disappointed but I think older children maybe if they really wanted one. Christmas is the one day to spoil them if you possibly can and I know that a lot of parents cant afford to, I know I couldn't when my daughter was a child. Who the hell wants to learn a life lesson on Christmas day!.
Nousernamefor me- I didn't know about the monkeys.......it's a whole new world out there.

A sloth one!! they are out of stock at moment i might try to get one of those

SilverDragonfly1 · 26/09/2017 12:49

Hi, I'm Luvabella! Wanna play?

MipMipMip · 26/09/2017 12:58

OP, you do realise that by turning it to the wall and putting something over you can't see if it's still there.

I'm not sure calling a child's toy Fingerling is good. Sounds a bit Ann Summers to me.

PodgeBod · 26/09/2017 13:55

It is a bit creepy Grin my DD wants a cry baby and that's fucking hideous not traditionally attractive either. Thankfully cheaper then the luvabella, though.

Bumbumtaloo · 26/09/2017 14:13

PodgeBod my DD has a cry baby for Christmas I git it from Amazon for £22 which seemed the cheapest. Although it would seem Argos start their 3 for 2 on toys tomorrow.

PodgeBod · 26/09/2017 14:25

Ooh thanks for the advice I have barely started yet so might hit the Argos sale Smile I know it's going to annoy me already and we have several dolls lying around!

Bumbumtaloo · 26/09/2017 14:30

Haha we have two dd's but it's only my youngest that is obsessed with her babies, we have dolls coming out of our ears!

I've been on the ball this year and have 3 things I need from Argos and I'm done and it's all wrapped ready to go

TammySwansonTwo · 26/09/2017 15:32

Asda do smaller baby clothes than tiny baby size (my boys had to wear up to 4lb and up to 5lb clothes and they were one of the few places I could find them and they were cheap) - not sure why I find it upsetting for these clothes to be bought for dolls but that made me feel quite uneasy!

I dunno, this thing is creepy AF anyway

Mamatocrazyboys · 05/10/2017 11:10

Oh I was having a nightmare trying to get one of these! Then someone on another page recommended www.hotstock.io/uk/luvabella-doll. You just sign up and register which products you are interested in and it will automatically update you as soon as they come in stock. I’ve avtually had about 5 diff notifications for Luvabella now! Ones enough for me though! Lol! Am waiting now for the SNES to come in stock for my hubby! Why does no one in my family have cheap tastes?? Lol!

Danceswithwarthogs · 05/10/2017 15:45

Call me heartless, but I'd never spend that much on anything!? Especially something as vile as that

(Although had to give in to the puppy surprise when it got on the Christmas list 2 years in a row)
