AIBU to be annoyed that people buy stuff then hike up the price on eBay?

I'm really quite keen to get a beauty and the beast Mrs Potts money box but there aren't any in my local Primark stores.
They cost £8 instore and some people seem to have cleared the shelves and are now trying to sell for upwards of £20. I hate this level of greed.
It reminds me of those dinosaur egg things last Christmas (£65 or thereabouts?)

Is it just me?

How do people know this stuff is arriving, and that it will be in demand? Is there a primark forum somewhere?

Hi Penny
Sorry, didn't mean to ignore anyone Blush
If there was someone in your situation who didn't live near, say Primark for example, who wanted an item from there I'd happily purchase and post the item to you for cost. As I said, 2 years ago I bought all sorts of items from B and M for people who didn't have a store nearby. Including pyjamas and Elf goods. I charged cost of item plus shipping. If the payment was made through goods and services on PayPal then the buyer covered the fee.
I just felt like I'd rather help these people give their DC the Christmas that they dreamed of rather than making it more difficult / expensive / out of reach. I could have made a huge profit if I'd been that way inclined because the demand was huge. My standpoint was that I'd want someone to do the same for me in this situation.

I know I'm stating the obvious but things sell for the value people are prepared to pay for them.

Meh can't get too het up about this personally. I buy then sell on eBay, not new stuff out of shops but secondhand items, mostly I buy extremely cheaply, everything is a slight gamble as I'm not always sure how much it'll fetch or if it will sell-often I am storing items for months before they sell but I have found myself a little niche and it seems to be working for me. Recently I bought something for £2, I sold it this week for £50...do I feel bad, no not really, I haven't forced anyone to buy it and it is no longer available in the uk and about £60 to have it shipped from America.
Money I make on items I sell is helping to support my family and eventually I hope it will insure I'm able to do more with the children such as nice days out/attractions etc which at the moment I just can't afford.
I don't begrudge anyone selling things on to make some money tbh the only time it does slightly irriatate me is when things are split to make more money such as Lego sets and minifigures...I'm about to sell some of my kids old Lego before Xmas and was reasearching prices and was gobsmacked that sellers appear to buy sets, strip of their minifigures, sell the sets as new and the minifigures separately -some of the minifigures are being sold for £20 each!!! I'm hoping I'll get a good price for the Lego seeing as though I'll be selling ours with all the figures included!
It's a shame when people clear the shelves of stuff to sell on but shops can easily restrict how many people can buy in one go to try and stop that and if they don't perhaps you need to be more angry with the shop than the person trying to make a few quid!
