WIBU to take LO out of nursery 1 or 2 days a week?

I am being made redundant, but have been asked to stay on until the end of the year. As our office is closing, I am working from home in an advisory capacity.

Our LO is in nursery full time, which costs us £1k per month even with childcare vouchers. Quite a few of my friends, and my DP, are surprised that I haven’t thought to take him out of nursery. We would save 200 per month just cutting him down to 4 days. I don’t know when I will get another job, so I would really like to save some money. I am now seriously considering it.

WIBU?

WWYD?

I would take him out as much as possible.

Maybe leave him in one day so i could job hunt.

Unless its not going to take you long to find a job or the nursery has a long waiting list and you wont be able to get back in.

Sorry i misread i thought you meant when you finished.

Will you be working on those days? How much work do you do in a day? Are you earning a full time wage so expected to be available all 8 hours?

Is it feasable to work and gave him there?

I think you are wise to keep the nursery place if you can afford to - unless it has lots of vacancies. If you get a new job soon then you don't want the nightmare of finding that nursery can no longer accommodate your needs.

I think it wnbu to change booked days to drop one day a week in order to save a bit of money whilst keeping most of the days.

If there's no shortage of affordable good quality childcare in your area and you can be sure of getting new arrangements quickly as soon as you get a new job (not sure such a place exists) then ywnbu to drop more days than that.
