To be annoyed with my personal trainer?

He costs me a lot and I've definitely had to cut back to be able to afford this.

I genuinely just needed that kick up the bum to lose weight (2 stone down now finally!)

Anyway this week he said he was looking to take on another client so I should ask people I work with.

He's then emailed me to say I can bring a friend with me to a session next week - free of charge! Erm ... I'm a full paying client, why would I want to share my sessions just for him to get another client??

I feel like stopping tbh. Aibu?

Jesus, do the man favour

Uh, why???

You don't do Tesco a favour do you?

I wouldn't like to share my PT sessions. The flexibility (booking when I want - so much harder to coordinate 2 people) and the 1:1 attention far outweighs any cash saving.

Doris Dangleberry I laughed out loud at your post!! Just the sort of thing I would say (if I could afford a PT!) x

I feel like that would be like paying for a cleaner that comes to mine for an hour each week.

Then as a favour she will clean both mine and my friends house and split the one hour between both houses.

I'd still be expected to pay for for the full hour though.

I don't understand why people are feeling sorry for PTs and think we should help them do their job.

Definitely YANBU, OP. I would try to give him the benefit of the doubt that he simply didn't think it through properly, but it would irritate me too.

Perhaps he hasn't thought it through? No need to get annoyed with him. Just say no thanks, I prefer one on one sessions.
