we often think the tv shows (this morning etc) are taking topics anddoing a segment on them....but are they infact sending in moles to start topic they intend to cover to get opinions.interest.gossip etc because more and more I'm watching and they are so identical.its got to be pre meditated hasn't it for them to work planned shows around it.

Yes

AfunaMbatata · 14/09/2017 16:12

Of course they do, usual quite easy to spot.

PoppyPopcorn · 14/09/2017 16:13

Of course they are. But it's a public forum, and anyone who wants to can log on and start to post.

megletthesecond · 14/09/2017 16:13

Yes they do. Lazy journalism.

LIZS · 14/09/2017 16:13

I thought it funny how the teacher training days one immediately appeared in the dm.

TheSparrowhawk · 14/09/2017 16:14

Yes they do it all the time.

PeaPodPopper · 14/09/2017 16:15

I don't have a tv so can't comment on that. However, Liza Tarbuck on radio 2 saturday nights, often has topic matter VERY similar to threads running that week on here!

WhoWants2Know · 14/09/2017 16:15

So they get paid for mumsnetting...

Where can I apply for that job?

IskraTG · 14/09/2017 16:16

"Heya girlies, so I just LOVE chattering on forums with cool ladies like yourselves, so what's up my lovelies? Don't y'all just HATE it when your pants stick in your crack? Share your stories and bond!"

kateandme · 15/09/2017 07:54

yes I no they often steal them.i actually think it good to maybe do a theme that talked about in the world onto a program because it means they are discussing something we are having issues with in the moment.but its the plants that start them to get a topic going for the reason which can stir up all sorts. or the ones who steal off vunerable posters which they should just draw a line at.

Like little furry creatures that make hills in your lawn...???

Flyinggeese · 15/09/2017 07:58

IskraTG yes! Spot on.

Appuskidu · 15/09/2017 07:58

I thought the teacher training one was shocking. Someone asks a horribly goady question and then when lots of reasonable people explain, comes back and repeatedly says, 'oooh, sorry for being so rude as to just ask a question-I'll just go and get back in my box then, shall I? I won't ever think of asking a question again!'

If it was a poster who really didn't know-wouldntgheur reply be something like-'eekBlush, oh no-really?! I'm sorry, I really didn't know!! As you were...!'

AuntieStella · 15/09/2017 08:03

Yes, I've long thought that BBC Breakfast does this for its magaziney stories.
