AIBU to go slash the tyres?! Not only did she park arseways she was also not accompanied by kids. This selfish wankery makes me mad.

The other day at a service station I saw an Aston Martin convertible parked across (literally almost horizontally) two disabled bays. No badge, obvs. I used it as a visual aid to explain to my children the concept of entitlement.

Expemsiveuniform · 13/09/2017 19:05

So. A disabled person with a blue badge has parked in a parent and child space (albeit a bit crooked) and you're going to go and slash their tyres?

There's someone a wanker, and it ain't the car driver.

AmberNectarine · 13/09/2017 19:05

So yes, this is nothing in the scheme of shit parking, but I can see why it irks you!

Yes it's immensely frustrating.
Just wanted to throw it out there that disabled parking may have been all full and also that I have been subject to a tirade of abuse about using a disabled toilet because I look "normal"

TheChineseChicken · 13/09/2017 19:11

Oh dear, this thread hasn't really worked out

SoPassRemarkable · 13/09/2017 19:14

Yabu.

LapCatLicker · 13/09/2017 19:15

Sorry, I'm with op. This would really annoy me. No, it's not the worst thing in the world but it smacks of entitlement and disregard for anyone but themselves. I think that if everyone just played by the rules (of society, of decency, whatever) and thought of others when they entered into the public sphere our world would be so much nicer.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 13/09/2017 19:17

Wankery is complaining about a Blue Badge holder parking in a Parent and Child space

LapCatLicker · 13/09/2017 19:17

P.s. She may have reasons for parking like this such as a blue badge (which I can't see by the way) or just having divorced her dh or maybe are has a sick kid at home and she's in a massive rush to get calpol, who knows. But maybe she's just a twat.

LapCatLicker · 13/09/2017 19:18

She not are

Miserylovescompany2 · 13/09/2017 19:19

I wish a bit of skewed parking was all I had to worry about...

Expemsiveuniform · 13/09/2017 19:19

I see a blue badge in the windscreen or what looks like the envelope thing they put the badge in to.

Also. Parent and child spaces aren't legally enforceable. And even if they were they're a civil matter.

Slashing tyres is a criminal offence.

And the op doesn't know if the driver was going to meet someone who had kids with them.

stitchglitched · 13/09/2017 19:21

What rules of decency has she broken, LapCat? Parking a bit wonky? Slightly OTT response don't you think?

yumyumpoppycat · 13/09/2017 19:29

Blue badge is in the right hand corner of the windscreen.

GabsAlot · 13/09/2017 19:31

click on th pic lap u can see it passenger side

JWrecks · 13/09/2017 19:35

ARGH! When I go into the office (WFH mostly), we have only the world's tiniest parking slots available in the world's most crowded car park, and inevitably there are 10 Rovers all parked over the lines, cutting out at least one if not two entire spots. It's so frustrating! At least this woman isn't taking up part of another space, but yeah that's something that makes me irrationally angry too!

hmcAsWas · 13/09/2017 19:44

You've got problems OP!

runningintothelight · 13/09/2017 20:25

This looks like my tescos!

Gilead · 13/09/2017 20:33

I think you need to look to yourself op.

SilverySurfer · 13/09/2017 20:44

When I had a car and a blue badge, I would have no hesitation in parking in a P&C space if it was nearer to the supermarket entrance. It's not the straightest bit of parking but since there are free spaces around it, why the hell do you give a damn?

Mehfruittea · 13/09/2017 21:14

I'm disabled and at times park just like this. Not all the time so don't shoot me.

My point is - I park deliberately wonky when I need to. If I'm within the whole of the disabled or P&C bay still, it stops someone parking too close to me. Or anywhere near. If I'm on my own and I need to get my wheelchair up one side, people still don't leave enough room and then you can't even get in to your own car until someone else has done their shopping. I park like this and no one parks next to me if they can help it!

Selfish when I have to be.

ineedamoreadultieradult · 13/09/2017 21:22

And you were that bothered by this you took a photo? Bit wonky but not obstructing anyone. Disabled person using a Parent and Child space is not an issue. I'm sure if you tried you could find worse parking than this, better luck next time.

SunnySkiesSleepsintheMorning · 13/09/2017 21:23

There certainly is some wankery but not sure it's that car driver...
