Background. Good friend (so I thought). Known each other since school. Been through marriages, babies, teenagers etc. See each other weekly.

We met up for coffee yesterday. We do this most weeks as friend works near me on a Tuesday.

Sat outside. As it's a suntrap, it got warm so I took my hoodie off. I had a vest top on underneath.

Friend kept looking past me over my shoulder. I asked what she was looking at. She leaned in and said 'You've got a hair on your shoulder'.

I looked down at my shoulder and couldn't see it so leaned towards her and asked her to get it off. She said 'I can't, it's growing on your shoulder'.

After lots of looking I finally located it on the back of my shoulder. A disgusting thick black wiry pube growing out of my shoulder! Shock. I threw my hoodie on and thanked friend for telling me.

Then came the clanger. 'I saw it last week but I didn't want to embarrass you'.

So, in what kind of fucked up friendship do you not tell your friend about her shoulder pube?Angry AIBU?

I'm awaiting my shoulder pube after I grew a whole hair (6 inches or so) out of my shoulder when I was pregnant. I agree telling is best but some people are weird.

I actually thought most people grew these at ome stage??

Both me and DP grow shoulder pubes (love that phrase by the way! Grin) and regularly inspect each other for them!

I also grow a thick black one out of my chin I swear one day its --

Oh and yeah, me and my fiends would definitely tell each other about any random hairs.....what are good friends for if not for this kind of thing??! Grin

redsquirrel2 · 13/09/2017 12:15

It's trivial. Why are you even bothered by it?

DJBaggySmalls · 13/09/2017 12:17

I'd want to know. I've walked out of the loo with my skirt tucked into my knickers and nobody told me

She let you walk around with it for a week - that's bad form - you need to re examine your friendship Grin

I have a neck pube (centre of my neck at the front- very black and curly) I have made it clear to DD that she is always to check my neck for emergence of this hair - it can appear overnight from nowhere, the minute I pull it out, it starts regrowing.

Relocated pube growth monitoring is what friends and family are for FFS.
