Grammar school application thread

I know this is an TAAT but does anyone know what happened to the poster whose husband didn't submit the application for their DS and his test? Have been thinking about them all day

It is such a crappy situation. I know that this is another TAAT and will be deleted but it does demonstrate how many people are thinking about the OP and her son. I hope she feels the support.

I'm really invested too.
Her son was so invested and was trying so hard and the not so DH made fucking soup.

I posted just before deletion of the second thread, pointing out that yes although a TAAT, original OP had replied on the thread herself - so perhaps check with OP before deletion - reported my post so that Iona would see it - thread deleted, no reply.

So there you go. I guess as it wasn't OP's actual thread then perhaps it's not so straightforward?

I so feel for OP and hope her conversation with her DS went as well as it could.

Did she say anything about her son has taken the news?

Some of us did try to offer realistic support- there was so much false optimism from others that my heart was sinking as I read.

Agree with bert, that slowly sinking feeling that it cannot be resolved is sickening.

Have you looked into doing the exam in another area sososocross ?

If the OP wants to start a new thread about any aspect of the fall out from this, that is up to her.

x-posted with sosocross - I do appreciate that people really feel for posters, but protesting deletions...I think we all need to remember that as a general principle, no one has any duty to report back, continue posting or answer TAATs unless they want to or feel comfortable doing so. And that is ONLY for the OP to decide.

Soso, thinking of you and your amazing DS, and hoping so hard he gets a school that's perfect for him.

I've done an update thread as people have been so kind and taken their time to pm me with lots of helpful
advice and support.

@sososocross I can't find your update. Will keep looking, and genuinely gutted for your DS
