To feel annoyed at how early thirty somethings are viewed

I was watching X factor and there was a 32 yr old woman on there and everyone was saying "Wow, she looks amazing for 32." As if 32 is mega old and you can't possibly look attractive and non haggered at that age. Heard it
about Gemma Atkinson who is 32 as well (Actress from Emmerdale on Strictly). Yes they both look a couple of years younger but why is that worthy of shock and even mentioned? It's not like you drastically age from late twenties to early thirties is it?
I find it depressing and odd. Makes me feel like I am already past it agewise.

IME early thirties can be a bit of a low point in looks because women are suddenly dealing with babies and little things like pregnancy and sleep loss rather than doing extra grooming, and it isn't uncommon for body shape to change, requiring adjustments/relearning in 'how to dress'. That stage doesn't last that long though! Also, if someone had children at 23 or is waiting until 40, I'd expect them to look basically the same at 28 and 32.

Lol. I snogged someone in the street at age 22 and hear some nyaffy 15 year old saying urgh old people kissing..
Whilst going home to masturbation over Robbie Williams probably..

The world is mental! But the TV audience was probably 12, so they'll be licencing the obsessions :)

20's insecure.
30's were dotted with insecurities but pretty amazing.
40's still the same.
50's don't really give a fuck in a good way, Im not invisible when i care to put the slap on, still turn heads. I love being invisible when i want now.

I'm staggered that you have got to your early thirties before you realised that everyone passes comment on how young/ fuckable women look, every minute of every day tbh. It's only a problem if you fall for the mysogynistic undercurrent and believe your worth is gauged by what you see in the mirror in comparison to a school leaver just ready for impregnation.
But I'm glad you realise it is a problem. Women should be able to look their age and not fall for the 'necessity' to spend money on anti ageing cream. Better late than never. You'll be giving up your cream, now then?

I guess it was another harsh reminder but yes, you are right PP.
I wanted to point out as well that not every early thirty something is pregnant or planning babies/has babies. That is a big assumption.

I think the 32 yr old on X Factor looked great but did I think she looked 17/18? Definitely not. She looked a couple of years younger than 32 with good skin and a great, positive energy but people seemed amazed she could 'Possibly look that good at her age.'
