Bought a new car. Has been broken into four times. FOUR. No sign of damage and thousands of pounds worth of stuff taken.

I called them this morning and they say they can't do anything and it's a police matter (police don't care as am sure they have better things to do). They were just so unhelpful and only offered me their sympathies. Hmm

AIBU to expect a new (and not cheap) car to be secure?!!!!

My friend was telling me about the "key cloning" the other day. She had watched something that described how the thieves clone your key when you go to lock your car. Do you park yours on the street? Are you aware of anyone else about when lock your car?

Bloody scrotes, I feel for you, it's just shit and makes you feel like you can't have anything nice.

Can you install a security camera?

What valuables were left in your car that was worth thousands of pounds? Did you have a jewelry stash in there or something? I see you said it was not in plain sight.

Anyway, sounds like it's time to switch cars to something more low key as it's clearly a target.

The gym bag was probablytaken because they grabbed everything and ran before stopping somewhere else to see what they had...you car was recently broken into and they took everything - kids book bags etc guess they were hoping there was some thig good in there... Nope.

OP when I was a kid our car was broken into and all they stole was the radio and a pair of rollerblades - not even worth £30!

Some people steal for the thrills of it, or in the hope they get something valuable. They don't care much about what they get out of it.
