Or is my mum?

Ds2 has recently started weaning. He was gnawing on a carrot stick the other day (raw, he's teething too) and he dropped it on the floor. The kitchen floor. Now, I'm not precious and would have picked it up, looked at it and handed it back to him.if it looked OK. Or, just given him another.

My mum picked it up, put it in her mouth, sacked on it and went to hand it back to him.

I rather sharply said "don't do that!" as he was grabbing for it.

The reason being, there were fresh ones on the table, AND she had a mouthful of food. Ham, boiled egg and beetroot to be precise.

She got huffy with me.

I don't turn a hair when ds has a nibble on ddog's deer antler (I take it away but I don't stress). But ewww. That is gross.

Yuck! That's grim behaviour from your mum. Bet she was one of those that slurped on a dropped dummy to 'clean' it .

Sparrowlegs248 · 06/09/2017 22:19

Yep somehow I found this worse than ds picking up the dog try at other GP 's house and trying to gum.it.

Hello Nottalotta! Grin.

Yes, I would have given him the carrot stick back without rinsing. Deeply impressed at fresh moppage of floor. No, I would not have been impressed at mouth full of food scenario, either. HTH Wink

Not my floor stubborn hence freshly mopped.......

I knew I was right.

Bleurgh that would have made me heave.

But, mopped? Considering the salad components, isn't it more likely to have had a quick going over with the Ewbank? Grin
