On the park and ride, watching a kid in front of me around 6 licking the window and spitting all over It! AIBU to think this is rank!? If this was my son id tell him to stop. His mum saw what he was doing as well!

BlueRabbitWasNaughty · 06/09/2017 08:40

Yep, rank...... although as his mum I'd have been more worried about the germs he was picking up than the window.

Chocolatteandbiscuits · 06/09/2017 12:45

Absolutely horrible. Who lets their kid do that? Foul.

Callaird · 06/09/2017 13:08

My friends son has autism, he licks everything, pavement, bins, buses, cars. It's sensory, she can't stop him, he has a
meltdown and hits, kicks, bites and scratches her. Autistic children are remarkably strong, he's 9 and has done some serious damage to her, including breaking her arm. So she just ignores it!

Chocolatteandbiscuits · 06/09/2017 16:55

Maybe he did, he was well behaved other then licking the window for 3 or so minutes. Just wouldn't like to sit there after and put my arm in spit!

Not just your friends child- It's a pretty common thing for a child with autism to do actually, there was an unsavoury time about ten years ago when Sen buses were called 'window lickers bus' on social media for a while. Not saying that this was what this child was doing as the spitting thing isn't what they usually do however the windows licking is common. Also car tyre licking! I had one who always wanted to lick my shoes!!!
