That is bizarre.

I dont know whether to keep laughing or cry. Its going to no doubt cause a headache. I hope EON don't automatically recalculate my direct debit and automatically try to take payments.

Ring at once and ask them for a refund. Quick before if changes Grin

ElBandito · 05/09/2017 11:02

No surely they should be repaying you?

I wouldn't trust em! Confused
I moved into a house with a prepayment meter. Gas company said they'd reset the meter and send a card. They did. Every time I topped up it took last tenants debt and left me with no gas. After 4 top ups being snatched by the meter I refused to put in any more no matter how many times they promised a refund and told me the meter was now reset. Each time it wasn't and it took my money. I left them after a week and switched companies. I then got a bill for £170 for the 7 days usage I'd had. With no gas as the meter just took the debt but didn't give me any gas.

Bloody Scottish Power cowboys.

Keep a record of your calls to them in case they don't fix the problem. Write down everything they tell you. Take names and heck, record it if you can. It took me 6 months + to get Scottish Power to rectify their multiple errors. Having my short hand transcripts of the conversations I had with their employees helped as I could tell them exactly what I had been told in previous conversations.

It's funny but be cautious just in case.

If it wasn't for the little minus sign, I'd love a nice big fat refund. Just think what I could do with £100k. Round here I could buy another house.

At least with a number like that it's obviously something seriously wrong... It would be much worse if it was a smaller amount that they could pretend was actually an amount that could be yours (or yours and a debt left behind as mentioned in a previous post) that they would try to take from you.

I'd tweet them that picture with a funny but pointed comment and hope that it spurred them on to sort it out.

Take photos. Record times, who you spoke to. Record if you can.
You know already that this is going to be a fight, I'm afraid.
