AIBU in wanting to buy a school coat with reflective strips?

I thought it was practically impossible to get coats that didn't have reflective strips on! One year that must have been the case. Now I want to get one for my Y6 DD who will be walking home in the dark some nights with clubs on etc, and everything is just plain. No way on earth I'm going to get her to wear a hi-vis jacket, and those snappy things she'll just lose.... has anyone found a nice, warm, waterproof coat that has reflective strips on? It would make me feel so much better!!

I bought a sheet of reflective stickers from a cycling shop which I use on any outdoor gear which seems to need it.

Amazon or Halfords will supply for a moderate price and then you can buy whatever coat you fancy.

That spray is available on Amazon as well.
I bought some velcro reflective strips on ebay and stuck them on th DC bags but they weren't "cool" They won't notice the invisible spray though Grin

Try equestrian places, they tend to be pretty robust coats and lots of them have reflective details.

I remember at primary school being given (or DP buying possibly) reflectors that were animal shaped to hang on to our school bags & coat zips :)

There are some voucher codes out there Grumoy, granted they wouldn't take a huge amount off, but better than nothing. I found one for £10 off if you spend over £70 which is valid until 10th September.

Try Bright Kidz www.brightkidz.co.uk who have a range of reflective accessories.

No I'm sorry, I have just searched but can't find it on their website. I bought it in-store (near Bridlington if that makes a difference) last week and it cost about £25 iirc. It's a tesco F&F coat. Perhaps go in to the actual shop and have a look?
