To think I'm not the only one who has spent too much..:

On this summer holiday !

DS and I had a great summer, we didn't go abroad but went to many places/ travelling up and and down and all of this came up to £££££.

Now I'm regretting it, school is only a couple of days away. But I've literally just spent the remaining of my money on DS uniform/ school bits and I don't have much money left...just enough for the bills and shopping till I next get paid.

Is it just me ? As speaking to my friends, it seems like it is!

To be honest, it was the amount of travelling that broke the bank... we even resorted walking to some of our destinations as I was afraid to spend too much on travelling.

I bet you had a nice time however so just make the best of it now. What about second hand uniform? My children's schools had a second hand uniform shop. My daughter says now she was the only girl who had just about everything second hand but it's done her no harm at all and then you can pass down from child to child as well.

To raise some cash for now consider selling old toys, books, equipment and clothes at the preloved children's markets. There's one near me at the end of the month which I've booked a stall for £20 at.
Car boot sales, ebay, local Facebook selling pages are a good way to raising quick cash.

Get one of those saving tins that you need a can opener to open & just save £2 coins in them. I got one at the start of the year from the pound shop & it's half full now. We are saving for summer 2018 with those £2 coins.

Yes, I have a £900 credit card debt from 3 weeks in Portugal :( It was a nice holiday, but we didn't do as much self-catering as we had planned. So I am working on clearing that now, and next year I am not going for 3 weeks. Not sure I am going anywhere at all!

I did buy most school uniform before the holidays, so that's okay.
