To wear a corset dress when 21 weeks pregnant

Getting married soon and will be 21+1 pregnant. My dress was made to measure and very expensive (didn't know i was preggers at the time) my seamstress has removed the boning and added more material to the back panel but my main concern is baby's safety. Was under the impression that asking as it wasn't tight it would be fine but now I'm seriously panicking, this baby was so longed for and couldn't bare the thought of anything happening because I wanted to wear a pretty dress. I'm a big girl anyway so would that help? Any other mums wore corset when pregnant? Thanks

Boning under the bust is just like an underwire bra which many women wear through pregnancy.

As long as you are comfy and it's not too tight it's fine.

Op I was married at 20 something weeks pregnant in a dress with a corset and the only problem I had was that the bump was really high and huge so it made the bottom of the boning sort of stick out a little but nobody seemed to notice. I was married in the morning and changed into a maternity outfit in the evening. I didn't feel uncomfortable at all but (may have been coincidence, or the hours of enthusiastic dancing) but dd did seem to shift down a bit as the bump was lower the next day.

You'd be very, very uncomfortable long before a de-boned corset would harm your baby

My friend was roughly the same gestation at her wedding she had a piece added to the back, main event problem for her was the underwear she had bought at 10 weeks was too tight at 21 weeks and she struggled to keep her boobs censored for the party. She stayed in the dress all day and baby is now a teenager. Have a fab day Flowers

The only thing is, that you might not feel comfortable. Weird thoughts about harming the baby may ruin your day... So be sure that the dress is 100â„… comfy, when sitting etc & that you feel happy in it.
