To ask you to identify this biscuit & find me a recipe

Had a home made biscuit from a craft fair this weekend - the sort where they are listed in front of the cake stand, you choose and take away; so I have no idea what it was called.

It was a ginger biscuit. The texture reminded me of a brandy snap, but it was definitely more of a biscuit and not a ginger snap either.

Any ideas? We loved them and want to make more!

I remember making ginger snaps a long time ago, it might have been them?

MuchasSmoochas · 31/08/2017 08:13

Oh ignore me you said it wasn't them in your OP! Doh Grin

I don't think so - I've made snaps before, but these were definitely not as crumb-y when bitten IYSWIM? Smoother like a brandy biscuit

Grantham gingerbreads?

Was it very thin and a bit cinnamony? If so could be a Swedish Ginger Thin.

Not gingerbread, but the Swedish Ginger Thins look promising. May have to try to make them...

Cornish Fairing. I make them frequently.
I'm not at home at the moment but when I am I'll post the recipe.

This recipe looks about the same advice the one I use.
