Name changed but regular poster but this is quite outing

Shopping in a large shopping centre today having a good look round the make up counters, many different brands, very busy and Lots of people having makeup applied and trying stuff out.

Fast forward to one particular counter very fashionable at the moment, a mum with approx 12 year old and10 years old girls, all 3 heavily made up tops and low cut vest tops and push up bras Biscuit

This is not for me to judge, it's their choice BUT she then proceeded to produce her approx 8 month old DD from the pushchair and sit her on a chair and start applying foundation, lipstick and eyeshadow using the testers! I openly stared in shock, staff members kept passing by busy with other customers but giving looks to the woman. eventually a manager came over to the lady and said "sorry but we need the chair for other customers" I guess she didn't want to challenge her but the lady didn't argue and did leave with her DDs in tow. The poor child. AIBU to be shocked?

God what do some people think or not think!!! Idiotic

emmyrose2000 · 31/08/2017 05:14

How revolting!

Aside from the health risks, what kind of nutter thinks an 8 month needs makeup?! Ditto the 10 year old for that matter.

Waspyhell · 31/08/2017 05:41

Poor poor little thing! That's shocking!

Reppin · 31/08/2017 05:44

But you are judging OP. Why do you care so much?

Biscusting · 31/08/2017 05:49

I once joined up dds eyebrows to create a spectacular monobrow using benefit make up at 1 year.

huha · 31/08/2017 05:50

ShockHmm

Wunderkind77 · 31/08/2017 05:52

I don't see why it upsets you so much.

WomblingThree · 31/08/2017 05:55

This is not for me to judge...... and yet you are relishing every judgemental second, and hoping that posters will line up to slut-shame how a mother and her daughters choose to dress.

Such lovely supportive behaviour towards another parent 🙄

Daydreamerbynight · 31/08/2017 05:56

I don't see why you are not bothered by it Wunderkind77

Waspyhell · 31/08/2017 06:02

I just worry about the poor child's skin. At that age anything beyond the mildest stuff would have given my kids rashes and dry skin,

Not least the body image issue- "you need this to look pretty".

ArgyMargy · 31/08/2017 06:33

In what way would this be "outing"? Surely we all live near shopping centres with shops that have makeup counters?

Not sure why you nc 🤔

Sure the mum didn't care that you were watching her or even know who you are - unless you know the mum of baby and 10/12yr girls ........

But yes insane putting make up on a baby
