Zoflora and my husband

Mc180768 · 28/08/2017 23:24

Introduced my husband to Zoflora.

However, he is struggling to understand the concept of 'concentrated'

AIBU to fall out with him? Am well cross.

@FadedRed-gulps- but we consumers use harsh ingredients daily?

I gave up on buying concentrated washing up liquid for this reason. DH will splosh exactly the same amount into the bowl no matter how many times I point out that you're supposed to need substantially less.

Bimbop5 · 29/08/2017 03:13

Ugh sounds like horrible stuff.

Bluntness100 · 29/08/2017 04:31

I made up a spray bottle just today and have been spraying everything

Honestly please don't do this. It's not a cleaning product or an air freshener. It's a disinfectant and you shouldn't be using it on everything unless you're about to perform surgery. You need bacteria, your home shouldn't be a sterile environment. It's unhealthy and not good for any of you.

And I really hope someone isn't discinfecting the dog.

I thought this silliness was over and people now had a better grasp of where discinfectant like this should and should not be used?

Eleventybillionfucks · 29/08/2017 04:53

Zoflora is for floors and toilets surely ? I just use a mild washing up liquid mixed with water to clean every other surface.
People using this much disinfectant on a daily basis will surely make themselves ill or shorten their lifespan considerably.
Zoflora is on my list of no goes along with candles and plug in air fresheners or any freshener or any sort

Crunchymum · 29/08/2017 07:20

I used a whole (small) bottle on bathroom/ kitchen floor and toilet Grin

It smells so good I forget it's concentrated!!

exLtEveDallas · 29/08/2017 07:23

Zoflora smells of sick to me. My mum used to use it to clean our caravan and then wondered why I spent all my time in the awning. Fucking horrible stuff.

scottishdiem · 29/08/2017 07:31

Its a wonder that no-one has created the product that would create the biggest MN orgasm ever.....

Zoroflora scented Jo Malone candles.....

Patronising much?

It hardly makes a normal house 'sterile' no matter how much you use.

I recently moved house so am allowed to clean it, aren't I?

FrogFairy · 29/08/2017 11:05

You might want to lock up your SAN pro supplies.

Hard core Zoflora users are fond of dousing a pad or tampon and placing them around the house.

Keepthebloodynoisedown · 29/08/2017 12:10

My dp thought it was air freshener (he's only allowed to use the stuff I've made up in a spray bottle) and started spraying me with it. I don't know why he thought he should spray me with air freshener Angry
fadedred most cleaning products have similar effects, I think most people no not to start swigging a bottle of zoflora.

FadedRed · 29/08/2017 12:24

Keepthebloodynoisedown you are absolutely correct that most chemical based cleaners will have similar safety data, and most people will not be drinking it, but, aerosolising a product that is not manufactured to be used as an air spray is not a good idea.

OutToGetYou · 29/08/2017 12:31

I guess every thread needs to have LIGHTHEARTED in the subject line if we're to have any lighthearted discussion without being told off.

PeaFaceMcgee · 29/08/2017 12:35

Why are there so many threads about Zoflora on MN? Are some of you being paid to raise brand awareness?

AmethystRaven · 29/08/2017 12:48

My DH moans when I use it, although he wasn't moaning when I saved his shorts with it when our old cat weed on them!

FadedRed · 29/08/2017 13:01

I guess every thread needs to have Lighthearted in the title
Ooopps. Sorry for being one of the posters that are pissing on others fireworks Blush. Just give them a rinse in some diluted Zoflora, that should work.... Grin

NotAPuffin · 29/08/2017 14:19

Zoflora actually sell empty spray bottles to use it in.

TheWernethWife · 29/08/2017 14:44

The citrus one is fab, so is the pink grapefruit - just saying

justbinthefeckinbyebyebox · 29/08/2017 14:55

Do they still make 'flower shop'?

That was always my favourite, for down the sink/toilet.

But please be careful if you have cats
as it's highly toxic!!!!

DameDoom · 29/08/2017 15:04

My DH used it neat to wipe the banisters - lavender in case anyone should give a shit. My Farrow and Ball immediately bubbled up and peeled away to nothing. He is not allowed access to the hallowed Zoflora anymore.

DameDoom · 29/08/2017 15:08

Last year I was on a Zoflora testing panel - free Zoflora and a spray bottle. It was the moment I knew I had truly arrived.

hatsoncats · 29/08/2017 15:28

I have cats, so I have noted your comment JUSTBIN & thank you.

But I have just discovered BLUEBELL scented Zoflora - light and delicate. I will ration it, dilute it & use it sparingly. The house smells so fresh & clean!

Keepthebloodynoisedown · 29/08/2017 15:31

faded one of the recommended uses for zoflora is using a spray bottle.
really embarrassed I used no instead of know in my last post

WindyWednesday · 29/08/2017 15:32

Zoflora say you can put it in a spray bottle and use.
