Blood Taylor Swift and zombies

My DD(6) loves Taylor Swift. Sigh. Not my cuppa tea at all, but hey ho. I've just seen some still from her new video on the Daily Fail and there is some zombie Taylor Swift coming out of a bloody grave in the video. So she can't see that video.

I believe it's a dig at Kanye who mocked her and her success, and reckoned he made her famous.

It's about her coming back stronger than ever. Plus the sexual assault trail she's just won.

It's a tad dark though, I must say. There's a cartoon version that's a bit better.

I'm also someone who is now in awe of her at 40 Blush

*trial

The end is quite funny. Zombie and previous incarnations arguing with each other.

Amanduh · 28/08/2017 10:02

She's not mocking Tom though. She's mocking what the media said about her and Tom.
I love the video, it's so creative. She is very clever...And an incredible artist. I think the album will be brilliant.
misses point of thread

I let my 8 year old DD watch it this morning after watching it myself.

I warned her about the zombie and she just shrugged. She has heard the word bitch before so I can't get arse clenchy about that.

I don't know what the fuss is really. Surely artists are supposed to grow with their fans?

I have more of an issue with the direction that Little Mix have taken tbh. Overtly sexual lyrics and videos is where I draw the line.

khajiit13 · 28/08/2017 15:14

Eh? My 4 year old is has watched it this morning. It's not hardcore. I just skipped over the "bitch" at the end. I also wouldn't say most of her fanbase are kids either. Maybe 10 years ago but most of her fans have grown with her.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 28/08/2017 15:21

I don't understand why you are getting upset that an adult, who writes music for other adults, has released a music video that might be too scary for a six year old. You realise the world doesn't revolve around your kids right?

violicorn · 28/08/2017 15:51

My thoughts exactly, spuriouser

If you don't want her to see/listen to it then don't let her. Done.

Titanz · 28/08/2017 15:52

Sorry but it's 2 seconds and it's hardly scary.

violicorn · 28/08/2017 15:53

Won't someone please think of the children?!
