AIBU to take DD to GP for a phobia?

My DD (13)'s spider phobia has got really bad lately. If someone even mentions spiders she starts shaking and crying. I have worked through some techniques I've learned over the years as I suffer too, only nowhere near as bad. Should I take her to GP in the hope he/she might refer her to someone that can help? Any other suggestions?
Thanks

I've just discovered on another thread that there is treatment on the NHS for spider phobias and plan to seek help. I had a severe reaction to a fairly massive spider in the house the other day and I really upset my DD with my (uncontrollable) reaction. So no, YADNBU, it's a very real, extremely debilitating thing and especially during "spider season"

Spider phobia isn't exactly an irrational fear. I read that we have an inherent fear of spiders because some are very dangerous. (Not of course here in the UK normally) If it's really impacting on her everyday life and she is shaking and crying at the mere thought of them then maybe a visit to the GP would be a good idea.
