So here we are on day 3 of a Hobbit/Lord of the rings binge. When I say we, I mean the royal we! Not so darling husband and kids!
I can't take it anymore! I've done all the washing, washed the cars, sorted the garden, deep cleaned the entire house (avoiding the living room of course) paid the bills, sorted car insurance, cooked all the meals and cleaned up after them and they are still chasing the effing ring! F**k you Gollam!
On the upside the house is clean, apart from the living room which just looks like 7 people have slobbed out in it for 3 days!
Gonna burn the DVD player!
Someone give me a break! Please! Angry

My issue is more the people who won't let you not watch some pile of crap. You're not disturbing their enjoyment of it by quietly reading in the corner, or leaving the room, but they won't stop pestering you to look at the whatever.

PacificDogwod · 27/08/2017 11:06

TheyANBU to have a good LOTR binge.

YABU to have done all the stuff you have done while they are slobbing out.

I think I'd've arrange a weekend away with my friends and left them to it Grin

Enjoy your lovely clean house and sorted out life.
And the smugness that comes with having Done Stuff when they eventually emerge blinking in to the light again.

UpsyDaisyluvsIgglePiggle · 27/08/2017 11:20

YABU massively. Richard Armitage as Thorin in The Hobbit. drool

Enough of the God damn precious ring already!!!!!

I have bought a box and locked LOTR and all hobbits away. And I have eaten the key! Grin

It's a beautiful day Meadow - why aren't you thrashing DH and DC out for a walk with the Whip of Balrog?

Willow2017 · 27/08/2017 22:44

Pacific

Housework or watching The Hobbit...hmm let me chose. (^^^points up to Upsys post Grin )

GladstoneBangers · 27/08/2017 23:15

LOTR is good bank holiday entertainment, anyone who doesn't like it are cuntses, aren't they precious? lighthearted

Meadowflowers · 28/08/2017 12:17

Whilst watching Spiderman with dc last night I came up with a brainwave. I should have my own binge with the Avengers! There are millions of Avengers films! Although, today it is definitely an outdoors day.

My proud boast is that I've never read or seen Bored of the the Rings. Well, I tried one chapter and a bit before I realised it was never going to work. I honestly don't feel I've missed out.

YouTheCat · 28/08/2017 13:32

I have all the Avengers films (arranged in chronological order). I'm not sure I have time to watch them all in order before I go back to work though.

Meadowflowers · 28/08/2017 13:54

Cat I admire you! So how many are there exactly?

Floellabumbags · 28/08/2017 13:55

Watching LOTR at the cinema was one of the best (and longest) sleeps I've ever had.

Meadowflowers · 28/08/2017 14:00

Succulent, that was hilarious!!!! Grin
