To think that sandals are impossible if your feet are hideous?

I've got big, wide feet. With ugly, bent toes and MASSIVE big toes.

It's so annoying because I love shoes but in summer(It's late winter/early spring here in Oz) I struggle hugely to find a flattering style.

I have thickish ankles too...I'm a dress size 12 and happy with my weight and figure but just hate the way my feet and ankles never look nice in summer.

What shape/style is best for ugly, wide feet please? I also need a low wedge or not much of a heel as I'm shit at walking in anything high!

I have silver birkenstock style sandals. They look fairly smart, are flattering for my chunky legs and are cool and comfy. I have green leather ones too that I wear every day, but if you want something a bit smarter, silver definitely lift them up.

After a thread on here about comfortable sandals I bought wedge ones similar to these except mine were plain white leather. I have walked miles and miles in them and the covered part at the front means that very little of the front of my foot shows. I'm going to get a pair each navy and tan for next year.

Sorry, should have said they are Menorcan sandals - websites like Avarca or Palmaira stock them, but I don't know about delivery to Oz.
