I love to cook but end up cooking the same meals week in week out,

Do you have any tips for good meal planners/apps/websites,

I've heard Pinterest is good?

I use Pinterest to get inspiration - there's loads of different recipes on there.
I try and cook one new meal a week just to change things up a bit.
Then we have the usual dinners that are 'boring' like pizza and pasta but sometimes I make my own Pizzas and let the kids add heir own toppings Anschluss I love yo experiment with different pasta sauces.
I think time is a huge issue and so simple dinners work when we have after school activities and then I plan my more adventurous dinners when I have the time!

You could get a veg box and work round that or just eat whats in season.
Check the free magazines on the checkout at the co-op supermarket. Waitrose have similar but as you expect it uses more exotic expensive ingredients. Probably other supermarkets have same, but I think coop was the best for us, it used simple but nutritious ingredients.
I also like the little BBC recipes books e.g. Good Food 101 Cheap Eats, or Healthy Eats. All their recipes also online, clear and well tested, eg. Pasta with boursin cheese sauce, peppers and peas and crispy bacon.

I plan for a season. Same meals for 3 months.

Monday = meal one
Tuesday = meal two
Wednesday = meal three

Repeat. 🤣

Not much in the way of inspiration but desperation as DD2 has 11 food allergies.

Thank you everyone,

I'll follow up on all of your advice and try to branch out a bit.

I just always end up using the same ingredients that I'm used to, like a tomato pasta sauce, or flavouring everything with chilli and garlic, only ever using the same spices, potatoes with everything etc etc. Time to mix it up!

My partner once mixed it up too much though, macaroni pasta with minced beef, blue cheese, haloumi and teriyaki sauce!

Veg box, use up what's in the fridge, and try a new recipe every so often - usually from BBC Good Food so I try one of the recipes when the magazine arrives. I also use the BBC Good Food website to search for recipes involving the ingredients in our veg box/freezer etc.

I've recently tried some Jamie 15 Minute Meals but they are a) a huge faff and b) mainly butterflied chicken.

I've got a couple of new cookbooks recently so I'll try some of those in the next month or two.

My plan also says
Tues DH (it's his day off)
Fri leftovers
Sun DH
And occasionally if we're lucky
Fri takeaway as DF is staying
or
Sat DCs beans on toast me and DH meal out.

Gousto gave me a kick up the backside. Google deals on first two boxes. I got 60% off my first box.
