I don't think this thread should be deleted.

It doesn't specifically mention another thread. But it does highlight the mentality of people who peddle the view that AIBU is the default place to go for a bitching session so don't bother asking for kindness, you won't find support here!

Cunts Corner . Grin

I nominate e1y1's suggestion to go ahead please HQ Grin

LazySusan11 · 22/08/2017 14:01

I reported to MNHQ they see no reason to delete it's not a TAAT.

Perhaps my op has read as being a GF..apologies for that.

I hate people who post in AIBU when they're not willing to hear different viewpoints or be told "YABU". But you can tell someone they're in the wrong / being unreasonable without being rude about it.

daisychain01 · 22/08/2017 14:08

All I'd say OP is remember there are real people behind these threads, many of whom use MH as a lifeline. And AIBU was originally design to give people a chance to check things out - not be beaten to a pulp as so often happens.

CoughLaughFart · 22/08/2017 14:17

All too often 'It's AIBU' is used as a default excuse for needless rudeness (tarted up as honesty or plain speaking).

blacksax · 22/08/2017 14:17

It makes no difference where you post, if people want to have a pop at you, they will.

TheRealBiscuitAddict · 22/08/2017 14:20

Yabu. AIBU is without doubt the worst topic which has ever been launched on MN, because it is now seen as a free for all where people feel they have the right to address people however they want, regardless of the fact that these are still actual people we're talking about, and the fact that the subject matters they may be talking about are still the same regardless of whether they post them in aibu or somewhere else.

A response to a thread shouldn't depend on where you post it, if someone has an issue they should get the same response

I've actually seen responses to posters on other topics be responded to with "If you want to be nasty go and post on aibu." Should we really be encouraging that?

NotPennysBoat815 · 22/08/2017 14:30

I've been eaten alive on here before. Then I discovered Chat. Much softer over there. I find a lot of the other areas of the forum are pretty much dead though.

monkeywithacowface · 22/08/2017 14:43

Well I've sent off my application so let's see! Took me bloody ages though. Have two more to apply for today (both for the level I'm qualified for) Really do need to be working by the end of September so I few late nights writing personal statements and cover letters and tweaking the CV for each post is going to be in order.

monkeywithacowface · 22/08/2017 14:43

Oops wrong thread. as you were!

TalkinBoutNuthin · 23/08/2017 12:21

Cunts Corner Brilliant! Now I know where to tell the Goady Fuckers to go Grin.

I once posted on AIBU accidentally when I had meant to post on Philosophy/Religion. That was ....erm.... interesting..... It was good to get a broader view though, and I just ignored the real Goady Fuckers.
