I have been smoking for over two thirds of my life (and being as I'm 36 started very young). I'm sick of it. Sick of the cost, the taste, the smell, the hood it has on me etc.

So I've just rolled my last fag, have no more rizla or tobacco in the house.

I smoke a lot. First thing in the morning, last thing at night and plenty in between.

Aibu to think I can do this cold turkey? Have you? Please please inspire me with your stories!

Good luck! I quit this year with help from nhs stop smoking nurse. She has been fab, very informative and supportive and I've slowly weaned of with patches. Like some I've quit for long periods in the past but it's been because of pregnancy and breastfeeding. Also reading a book about someone's else's struggle to quit hoped understand the cravings etc

Well. The stopping smoking has gone to pot.

I'm annoyed at myself, and so the cycle continues. Maybe tomorrow.

Count the ones you don't smoke
I went from 30 a day to none with vaping

I quit yesterday. Occasional cravings but keeping myself occupied / distracted.

Good luck!

Only thing that worked for me was not having one cigarette at a time... I.e. Just done have this one now, don't think about the next ones!

And good luck!

Keep trying, op, you'll get there. I went cold turkey, I didn't throw my fags away, just decided that I didn't want them anymore, enough is enough, time to stop. It was very hard and more than 10 years later I still occasionally think about having a cigarette. But it's so worth it. Good luck!

It's hard.

I went cold turkey after smoking for more than 20 years. Its been 7 years now and I have to admit I could still light up - the only reason I don't is because I can't face going through the whole stopping process again.

I've also put on 3 stone in 7 years!
