Specs dont fit

I have just taken a second pair of specs from my opticians. The first pair cost over £700 and they hurt my nose as they slide down and pull on my skin. The opticians tightened them and adjusted the ear bits but this hurts my head around my ears.
So I went back and they agreed to change them for no cost. They recommended a lighter pair and said they will fit better. So I went ahead and took them on Friday. By saturday I had to take them off as they slip down my nose so far I can see the top of the specs in front of my eyes and when I look in the mirror the top is halfway across my line of vision.
AIBU to take both pairs back and ask for my money back? I just dont think they can fit specs properly. I do find it difficult to find specs that dont hurt but these are clearly wrong.

I used to go to a high street but switched to this much more expensive local opticians who have "optician of the year" in the window. I am fed up and have gone back to an old pair of specs that are an old prescription but dont hurt.
I cant wear contacts because I have dry eyes.

I would take them back. Even ignoring the very expensive cost of them you need glasses which are comfy and fit well

I only paid £25 for my last pair of specs, and I'd still take them back if they didn't fit. Even apart from the comfort side, if they are not sitting in the right place, then the prescription isn't right as you aren't looking through the right part of the lens.

I had a new pair that I took back 5 times and they still hurt or fell off. I was offered a replacement but by this time I needed another test.

Tried to book one to find that they had no record of me. However they had originally recorded me as living at a completely wrong address, and got my date of birth wrong by 10 years so I didn't have much faith in them.

It isn't a small family run chain in NW London is it?

alltoads no it's in Bristol. I'm just getting ready to go there now. It's a relief to find I'm not the only one who find specs hurt. I was beginning to think I'm just awkward. I do have an issue with sensory things, labels in clothes etc, they hurt too.

I went back. The woman adjusted them, they were too tight. She also says they get stuck in my hair which causes them to go at an angle. They do feel better. It makes me question the bloke who three times now has sent me out with ill fitting glasses- no proper checks and a blase attitude to making sure they fit before I leave.
They do feel a lot better so I was not BU. Thanks for the support folks. I have been allowed to hold onto the really expensive ones until these fit properly but I get no refund of the difference :(
