How did the singers keep a straight face in the studio? You're saving radishes not world Peter mate, calm down.
Is this what Beatrix potter would've wanted?

My DD is becoming obsessed with rabbits which means that people keep buying her more peter rabbit shit.

I have whole gang staring at me in the living room right now!

Aeviternity · 21/08/2017 21:59

I genuinely wonder what it's like to join a band, learn instruments, learn to sing, do some gigs, develop your 'sound', but ultimately fail miserably and end up reduced to singing the theme songs for childrens' TV shows.

I try and hear the quiver of despair in their voices.

I think the same guy maybe does Tree Fu Tom, it's of a similar style.

SomewhatIdiosyncratic · 21/08/2017 21:59

Such thoughts have now resurrected The Racoons theme from years gone by...

Run with us, we've got every thing you need...

Royalties must be good with the repeat rate of CBeebies songs/ themes Wink

Sevendaysinaweek · 21/08/2017 22:13

If you like bunny songs please see this link. We had it on repeat for most of the way through France, Belgium and Holland. It contains the phrase "I got the hops".

You can thank me laterWink

Elledouble · 21/08/2017 22:19

It's Lauren Laverne?!

I've just had to listen to a bit to check and now I'm crying again Sad

Spudlet · 21/08/2017 22:25

Every time that bloody show comes on, I fancy I hear a 'whizz... whizzzz... WHIZZZZZ' sound coming from the general direction of Cumbria, as Ms Potter gets up to speed. You could probably power a small town if you hooked her up to the National Grid.

Screamer1 · 21/08/2017 22:28

Can I just leave this here. Watching with subtitles the other day...Have been sniggering ever since.

To think the Peter Rabbit themetune is ridiculous?
BrutusMcDogface · 22/08/2017 08:05

Wow, Andy has just done a very funky dance routine to the go jetters theme tune! I will might get my kids to learn it so we can film them doing it! Grin

DragonNoodleCake · 22/08/2017 10:54

Sevendays got to love clover, we do a family rendition of blue ribbon bunny quite regularly 😀

DragonNoodleCake · 22/08/2017 10:59

Deploycharitygoats I hear you! Not that familiar with Gungor (until I just Apple Music 'd them)
I'm much more of a Rend Collective, Casting Crowns, Hillsong, Christy Nockels, Lou Fellingham kind of girl.

WivJammin · 22/08/2017 11:04

I always imagine the band that does the music as little bunny versions of The Who, like Alvin And The Chipmunks - but edgier!

MrWriter · 22/08/2017 11:13

Ha ha op, I've often thought this theme song just doesnt suit the cartoon. Its so intense and fast paced, then peter the thief and mates come and bore me to death.
DS loves it of course, and the Peter Rabbit book by Emma Thompson. Keep trying to steer him towards ANY OTHER book, but no, peter bloody rabbit every night!

Ironfloor · 22/08/2017 11:17

YNBU.

Personally, I'd have preferred a vintage-y, quaint-y, slower song to suit the Peter Rabbit theme. Not this fast, techno type song.

mummmy2017 · 22/08/2017 11:23

Omg, it's so naff I love it.

When you have to hear something again and a again with a child it has to be this upbeat snap snap sound...

ikulanappa · 22/08/2017 13:24

Sarah and Duck (quack!)
Sarah and Duck (quack!)
Sarah and Duck (quack!)....

More like this please. And aaaaallllll the music in Hey Duggee.

Bing and Peter need to get thrown under a bus asap.

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 22/08/2017 14:07

DS2 LOVES Peter Rabbit. I keep trying to tell him that Watership Down has rabbits too, AND much better theme music, but he's 3, so... Grin

lauradotp · 22/08/2017 17:59

Definitely a failed rockstar - I can also see the Christian rock thing. For some reason, I can't help but think he looks like Kip Winger circa 1991 (roughly) and I feel a little bit sorry for him that he's ended up singing about the most annoying rabbit ever written about. Bloody thing deserves to be put in a pie, busting holes in fences and trashing Mr McG's allotment.

carrotcakecupcake · 22/08/2017 20:37

akulanappa I think you need this in your life; www.amazon.co.uk/Duggee-Greatest-Hits-Badge-Woof/dp/B01MFDECSV

shockshockhorror · 22/08/2017 20:55

Haha, yes I always think this!

GherkinSnatch · 22/08/2017 21:04

Which bastard mentioned the Go To Sleep song

Babar makes me well up too, though possibly because I can remember sitting with my grandad watching it when I was tiny.

The music in Hey Duggee is great - especially the bouncy electric pop tune.

GherkinSnatch · 22/08/2017 21:06

Omg I need that Duggee cd. Snowman is the tune I meant!

blamethecat · 22/08/2017 21:22

Thanks carrot I have Amazon music and just added hey duggee, not sure ds will be too impressed as his music of choice currently is Korn Grin (ds is 4).
I wonder how many former 'stars' sing kids theme tunes/songs ? Jason Donovan and Lauren Lavern already mentioned.
I hate Peter Rabbit.
Love Hey Digger and Go Jetters. I woke at about 3 am a few mornings ago with rusty rivets in my head, I couldn't get back to sleep for ages

RedBlackberries · 22/08/2017 21:26

PMSL screamer Grin

PootlewasthebestFlump · 22/08/2017 21:27

It's right up there with Jamie and the Magic Torch for rocking out.

DS loves Peter Rabbit but is convinced it's Pizza Rabbit.
