Spent easter in SW Donegal and fell in love. Amazing landscapes, scenery, mountains, rivers. Stayed in a lovely SC cottage with all the mod cons just outside a lovely village.

Would love to go back next easter or summer, but would like to go for longer therefore would like somewhere that has something for the dc. Obviously not on a theme park level, but something to do other than sight seeing. Three dc between 10 and 17. Any recommendations?

Yes I'm familiar. Area is fab but will you have a car? To make the most of it you will need transport

Cork part of Wild Atlantic way (haven coast route. Take a day in Cork or two city, then carry on from Kinsale to Ballydehob. Cute towns, good food, artsy vibes.

Or the dingle peninsula. Stunning, and dingle town is great fun.

Cliffs of Moher is an obvious one. Day at the burren. If you are Father Ted fans you can go to his house and take pics outside. Day trip to Limerick City, Day trip to Galway. Beachcombing on the beach there

Day out at the Aran islands would be nice too!

Your kids might enjoy the banquet in Bunratty?

I second Valentia Island, Portmagee, Waterville, Caherdaniel, all in Kerry, as is Dingle and Killarney.

The drive from Bunratty to Soanish Point after the banquet late at night would be pretty rubbish. About an hour on windy roads.
