Got no replies on car site so thought would try here.

Need a new car that has to have a big boot. Got a 7 seater touran at moment. Looking at Dacia Dusters and VW passats but just dont know what would be good.

Anyone able to help? Thanks.

We looked at these size cars last year and ended up with a landrover discovery sport (we had a slightly bigger budget) which I love. But at the slightly cheaper end of the scale we looked at the Nissan x-trail which wasn't as polished as the LR with regards to the engine but was good for space especially in the back.
We also looked at a Skoda superb estate but I found it too big (very long car, loads of cabin space would fit very tall basket ball players comfortably) and was worried about parking it everyday although would have been fab for holidays with all the bikes. You also got an awful lot of car for your money especially as it's essentially a pared down Audi (has a nice engine)!

I have a BMW 220i with 7 seats. Much bigger boot than the 3 and 5 series estates - we tried all of them out with our suitcases at the dealers😉

I've just got a Dodge Caliber sxt 2 litre auto and it has a decent boot plus lots of lovely extras - quite a stunning car really and good value - very sturdy and a comfy drive I know they are quite old but the replacement version should be good too :)

I would recommend a big mercedes estate

It would be quite a bit a 12k budget!

I'm doing a similar hunt at the moment and honestly the thing that's going to limit you is availability of used big cars with petrol engines. As soon as you go big, the majority of them are diesel. We're looking for new/nearly new and have a budget up to £25k ish but lots of the cars we've looked at don't even do a petrol version!

Go on auto trader and put in your criteria and see what types of models it comes back with.
