To be fucking fed up of the sheer hypocrisy

Jeremy Hunt has reportedly spent £44,000 on a new bathroom for his office whilst trying to cut over 20 million in NHS cuts. I'm not even making this a Tory/Labour/Dems issue because they are all one in the same. What is it going to take for people to wake up and realise we are being shafted? Is there even anything we can do? It just seems totally crazy yet we are plodding along while the elite just laugh at us. Sorry I know that this is probably a bit hyperbolic but it's Monday morning, just started work and hit with that bit of news that has really pissed me off. Regular people being denied access to benefits for minor things but it's all good to spend almost 50 grand of tax payers money on a fucking bathroom? If I recall correctly it was around 50 grand for the proper fireproof cladding on Grenfell Tower and others like it but that was deemed too costly. Really? Fucking really? Ugh.

There was already a thread about Hunt's fictitious shower room, the story isn't true.

ImperialBlether · 14/08/2017 13:26

It wouldn't be £50K for cladding - not on a tower block.

Even if it isn't true, YANBU as he is a total "hunt" generally! Grin

People won't wake up. People at the bottom rung are struggling to survive. People a bit higher up are sedated with the media and other fripperies.

People who do not have to struggle don't care. The system is broken.

cardibach · 14/08/2017 14:01

Anecdoche that's alright then Confused
It's still the spending of a large amount of money when apparently we don't have any to benefit a small number of the political elite.

Themostannoyingperson · 14/08/2017 14:06

I don't think it's the polical elite you need to worry about. They are covered by law, freedom of information and frequently have newspapers all over them.
There are millions of much higher paid private individuals evading tax, buying up property forcing up rents and generally distorting the market in their favour.
