To be freaked out by this?!

My DH and I took the kids (DD5 and DS3) to the park today and we sat down to have some ice cream. It was busy so we asked if we could share a table with a woman and her 2 kids. All fine.

The woman then says to us: "is she your friend, yes?" I looked around but couldn't see anyone. She said, "she's just gone round the corner but there was a woman taking photos of you and your husband on her phone."

The table lady seemed very nice and gave us a good description of the woman. DH went to have a look but couldn't find her. Table lady said she took quite a few, phone pointed right at us apparently! We didn't even notice?! She said it was definitely of us, not the kids.

I'm a bit freaked out. DH doesn't think it's anything to worry about but WTF?! Why would someone do this? Confused

It's your DH's OW. Stalking him (like Glen Close)

sorry, I've been hanging round Relationships too long

Haha calm down! I meant step out of the picture not queue. The way the post office is set up is if she has stepped to the right she wouldn't be in shot and there are barriers up anyway so she would still be in the queue. Your allowed to take a picture of anything in a public place. She didn't ask not to be in the pic she was just staring!

How strange!

Many years ago, I was on a fairly empty flight to Australia. I was dozing and a camera flash woke me up, only to see the girl further along my row hastily moving her camera away from me - she'd been taking pictures of me while I slept! Very odd.

Starlighter · 13/08/2017 22:04

Nah, he's got neither the time or energy for any of that. I'm currently using his phone for MN as the battery has gone on mine. Definitely nothing like that!

That's so weird, DeathByMascara! Not sure I could sleep after that!

I reckon she was taking selfies.

Hunkle · 13/08/2017 22:08

Selfie deffo

Littlelondoner · 13/08/2017 22:15

Are you claiming any benefits or going through any civil claims atm? That would be my guess.

Or I have seen people who look like people I know. So much that its ammusing. Maybe something simular so she took a snap?

MammaTJ · 13/08/2017 22:26

She was either taking selfies, or the woman who didn't want to be sharing a table with you was making it up!!

Do not bother your head about it any more!!

Starlighter · 13/08/2017 22:38

Littlelondoner: nope, no benefits, no claims, nothing like that at all.

You're right, I'm going to try not to worry about it anymore and get some sleep.

Thanks all!

were you by chance wearing matching coats? or anything unusual? There's a few facebook groups making fun of strangers outfits. I've been on my local one a few times (I walk everywhere and live just off the high street so between school dress up days and Guiding I have walked through town in a few interesting outfits, plus I have weird tastes)

thebigbluedustbin · 13/08/2017 23:11

I'm with the 'selfie' people. She was almost 100% sure to have been taking pictures of herself.

LoyaltyAndLobster · 13/08/2017 23:14

She was taking a selfie.
