Neighbour has moved out and dumped stuff in our garden!

Our neighbours were privately renting. Never had a problem with them, always said hello, helped them out a couple of times when they got locked out.

One of them was a mechanic (not sure if that was his actual job or what he did on the side) so he looked at our cars a couple of times for us.

DH heard from our neighbour the other side of us (he knows all the neighbourhood gossipGrin) that they were moving out soon.

Loads of moving trucks came and went, they had the council rubbish truck come and dispose loads of big rubbish.

As it's the summer holidays I'm off out with kids a lot and DH has been away for the past couple of weeks with his erm, hobby Wink

I noticed a couple of days ago that some stuff had been put on our drive/garden/verge of weeds. Thought maybe they'd moved it to clean up their drive but they've gone and it's still there. And they've also added two buckets of black liquid (car oil?) round the other side! So we've got a massive heavy metal box full of random car stuff, a gas bbq, and a gas bottle. And a random walking boot! And 2 buckets of yuk.

Our other neighbour also has a big metal box that was from their back garden in his drive too! I need to find out if he was asked but he works shifts so I'm not sure whether to go now.

DH is back from his top secret hobby later today so we will talk about what to do because I'm not paying for it to be moved!

I'm currently keeping an eye out for the landlord or other neighbour.

Can't believe they've just dumped them and left! Shock

Solutions not porblems

Well, the landlord turned up so I went out and spoke to him and sounds like they've done a runner and left rent owing. But he was very apologetic and said he'd sort it out.

And then my other neighbour came out and said they had dumped the box on his drive but had phoned him saying they were going to collect it this afternoon. Neighbour is also not impressed as they borrowed his tool box and never gave it back!

So we'll see if they return.

Landlord said he'll be around as he has to clean the place up and redecorate, he gave me his number so if there's any problems I can let him know.

Have you told the landlord the tenant is coming around?
