I hope the contributors to the first thread carry on here.

I also hope you accept my cheekiness in starting a new thread as a lurker on the first one.

Off you go!

Kipper Farage is all for his kids getting German passports. Why is that?

I read this on the Irish passport thread. Such a hypocrite if so.

Anyway, sigh.

The majority voted to leave.
It wasn't about people shouting. It was a democratic vote.
What T.M. may think means nothing. The people have voted. Get over it.

Get over it ! Get over what exactly ? It wasn't a competition , as you quite rightly said it was a vote , I was asked my opinion and I voted in accordance with that opinion , just as you did . I can accept the outcome of that vote and still be vociferously opposed to it , as I often am in general elections Smile

frumpety · 14/08/2017 06:37

Put it this way , if you voted in the general election and the party you voted for didn't win , the party that did win , then changed the law so that they would stay in power indefinitely , would you not be a teensy bit peeved ?

As someone who voted remain , that is kind of where I am coming from , this is one vote where there is no chance to see how things go and change it later . Once we are out , we will lose all the power and influence that up until now we have had , with no chance of ever getting it back to that level .
