AIBU to have sex in friend's spare room?

DH and I are trying for a baby and ovulation test this morning indicates I'm super fertile for the next two days.

Problem is, we are going straight from work to visit friends for the weekend and staying in their spare room.

Is it a dick move to shag in someone's house while their guest for the weekend?

It's not a terribly small house, it's a 3 bed semi. They do have a toddler if that makes a difference.

Do it - unless your friends are very prudish, they won't care.

LadyWithLapdog · 11/08/2017 10:05

(I have friends over, I'm so sure it's not them though.)

HoobleDooble · 11/08/2017 10:07

I have friends coming to stay this weekend! Wonder if it's you? If so, fire away (so to speak) and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and my earplugs in. Grin

I know I probably shouldn't have laughed KungFu, I can only imagine the cringe it was for the rest of you, but your description is hilarious Grin!

OuaisMaisBon · 11/08/2017 10:20

KungFuPanda - I'd have been tempted to call up the stairs "Is everything all right up there? Need any help?" Grin

Take a towel
Make sure bed doesn't squeak, move, creak. If it does, use the floor. Mind, sometimes floors creak.

Silvercatowner · 11/08/2017 10:24

Weird - I would almost assume guests would have sex (if they wanted to....) if they were staying over. I'd hate to think my guests felt they couldn't.

morethanyoubargainfor · 11/08/2017 10:28

Once finished stand on your head! I did this once 15 years ago the result is due to celebrate his 15th birthday at the end of the year!

astoundedgoat · 11/08/2017 10:38

This is all so weird! We have house guests a lot because of where we live, and people stay for a week. It's their holiday, in a lot of cases and it would be far more odd if they weren't having sex while they were here.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 11/08/2017 10:38

Take a turkey baster in case of thin walls or squeaky bed.

Bluntness100 · 11/08/2017 10:40

Be quiet and take a towel to protect her sheets. And don't tell her, that would be weird...

backintown · 11/08/2017 10:47

The doggy style on the floor advice is great!

The only thing that would bother me as host is a wet patch left on the bed. We stayed in a friends holiday cottage one weekend recently and then again few weeks later. They had only had one other set of visitors in between our visits. As you take your own sheets I made the bed up on both occasions. The other guest/s had clearly 'enjoyed themselves' several times on the bed. Not only was that a bit grim to sleep on but I was torn about saying nothing or having to say 'it wasn't us' to our hosts who were going there next & would make the same discovery! Really thoughtless of them! Fair enough if you don't mind a mattress covered in spunk stains in your own home but leaving them on a friends guest bed is just rude!

That aside, you go for it!!

Liiinoo · 11/08/2017 11:11

Assuming you are in a bed in a room with a door that shuts then yes of course you can have sex at a house you are visiting. If you are in the open plan living room on a pull out couch, maybe not!

We have had a constant stream of guests over the summer. What they do when they are in their bedroom with the doors shut is nothing to do with me. I assume some of they may have had sex but I will never know one way or the other as like all good guests they strip their beds and leave the linen in the laundry basket when they leave.

chipscheeseandgravy · 11/08/2017 11:15

If your driving down I'm sure there may be a few places to stop Wink.

CremeFresh · 11/08/2017 11:22

Def doggy style on the floor, not too vigorous - your friend might wonder what you were 'clapping' for .

Migraleve · 11/08/2017 11:24

Wow so many people have issue with Consenting adults having sex Confused

OP I would say you are absolutely fine to go

ShatnersWig · 11/08/2017 11:30

Migraleve Um, unless i'm reading a different thread to you, pretty much everyone has said they should have sex? Confused

LoniceraJaponica · 11/08/2017 11:30

It wouldn't bother me if you were in our house, as long as you didn't advertise it by being too loud.

"If you can have super quiet stealth sex"

It isn't difficult to do so. I think some people make a racket just let everyone else know what they are up to. It takes up too much energy to shout.

HoobleDooble · 11/08/2017 18:44

Cremefresh my DS now wants to know what I'm laughing at, I've sad I'll tell him later (in about 10 years later)

milliemolliemou · 11/08/2017 18:52

Another vote for go for it. Avoiding the fatal squeaky bed. I had one - what's more the headboard knocked against the wall. Never stopped any guest in my house and while I didn't change guests I did (for my own sanity) change the bed. At one point I'd resorted to setting a long-lasting and amorous couple's shenanigans to music just to get to sleep.
