I've recently had a miscarriage. Picked up on scan, failed medical management followed by D&C.
Before I was pregnant, I had ultrasound scans for pelvic pain. I have endometriosis in my family, and have horrible painful periods that require tramadol and diazepam. I was told, as a teenager, "period pain is normal" by a doctor. I don't think this level is.
Anyway. The pre pregnancy ultrasound picked up an ovarian cyst. A second scan said there was no cyst.
I had lots of ultrasounds this pregnancy and they kept finding a "small hydrosalpinx" on the side where they had thought there was a cyst.
They asked me about infections. I have never had any and get tested regularly.
They've now sent me away. Everything I've read says hydro reduces chances of pregnancy. They've told me as I'm in my twenties, to go and try again.
I asked for a laparoscopy and whether this is further proof of having endometriosis and they just said "it could be, but youve been pregnant twice in three years (I have an older son who was fine) so you don't need surgery".
I'm being fobbed off. We want another baby and I feel like because I'm young no one is taking this seriously.
