I'm wide awake, stuff on my mind and can't relax to sleep. I've got up and made a cuppa. Now sitting in the stairs to drink it in the dark so I don't wake dh, DT or cats.
AIBU? It's 3pm and normally I sleep like a log then wake at 6.

Hope you get some sleep - stock up on decaf tea for next time.
I'd love a cuppa. Ds sleeping had improved after lots of hard work by me and him but we've had a bad night and the other dc will be up soon and I have that cold/tired feeling so a nice cuppa would be lovely
Flowers pink and lionqueen. Sorry to hear your news

I want tea now. And a biscuit.

WiganPierre · 10/08/2017 05:54

Why would it be unreasonable? I have woken my husband up in the night to make me one when I wanted one... he didn't complain! You are an adult, do what you want.

GypsyQueen · 10/08/2017 05:54

What does DT mean, it's not on the acronym list.

I really want to say Dear Tortoise but it's probably Dear Twins

anything that would help if you got it off your chest hun?or just general stuff and ticking mind...
I found some really good breathing techniqus that might help.

mailfuckoff · 10/08/2017 07:26

Hi it's dear twins
I had a little sleep until twin asked me why I wasn't going to work and that woke me up!

Not U at all. I'm another who drinks tea in the small hours. Strangely it relaxes me, stops my mind from racing about and helps me to sleep. I usually take it back to bed though .... stairs can be dangerous things when your tired. Smile

LakieLady · 10/08/2017 07:32

I hardly ever sleep through the night and usually get up and make a cup of tea around 3-4 am, take it back to bed and read for a while, then go back to sleep until it's time to get up.

Nothing U about it imo!

Nizuc · 10/08/2017 07:34

Argh. Let me tell you about my night.

DH very busy at work. He falls asleep on the sofa at 8pm. Then can't sleep at bedtime. Tosses and turns. He gets up at 2 pm for a cuppa and decides to make beef pack up sandwiches.

DDog knows the sound of the sandwich preparation. DDog faffs around - up and down the stairs, paws tapping on the hallway laminate flooring. Then I'm having a cuppa too. Argh. Argh.Argh.

2.30am here and I am having a bowl of Frosted Flakes cereal. Have to be up at 7 to do a 5 hour drive!

mailfuckoff · 10/08/2017 08:50

This must be the first ever agreement in AIBU. Not one person telling me off for selfishly moving around the house at night in case I wake someone or a telling off for drinking caffine at night!
