Toddler art

So today via Facebook I was invited to attend an art exhibition in a local gallery. It's on over two days.

The 'artist' is a two-year-old boy.

I first thought it was either a piss-take or fundraising, but further investigation proved otherwise.
These parents have had their baby's scribbles professionally framed, rented a gallery for a weekend and made a formal event to 'launch' him as an artist. They are serious.

AIBU/ horribly mean or is this an unacceptable level of parental wankery?

I wish I knew these people. They sound a lot more entertaining than the people I'm usually annoyed with for telling me their struggle to find breadsticks without salt. They've taken it to the next level, and I respect that. I would definitely go, and I would take my toddler and when she shouts 'FLEUURGGLE MAMFB' at a painting I would ponder her observation.

I'm usually fighting at the other end of the scale, though, answering FIL's inevitable 'what's that meant to be then?' with 'a bloody painting!'

I don't know them but this sounds like such a West London thing to do

Genius - I have a binbag full of Dd1's creations under her bed (threw 2 out when we moved). Was wondering what to do with them. Off to Google gallery space 😂😂😂😂😂

This thread seems quite apt as I've just read the other one about more money than sense...
My dc have created plenty of art - they have their own private galleries in their rooms.
