My gp prescribed me weight loss pills years ago when they were being trialled in this country . They were called reductil . I had 2.5 stone to lose and they worked amazingly . They reduce your appetite . I dropped from 12 stone to 10 stone in 3 months and felt so so healthy . They have now been banned because can cause high blood pressure . All the research shows that the risk is in severely obese people and not much risk in persons with just a couple stone to lose . I lost the weight with pills and changed my lifestyle and I stayed 10 stone till I got pregnant with my 3 red baby (after 3 years of keeping weight off ) and then had the shortest pregnancy because of crippling spd that meant I could only walk using crutches . I gained 4 stone and have sonde had another baby and I am now 13st 4oz at 5ft 7 so again I'd like to lose couple stone . I have zero will power and I keep thinking of reductil and how well they worked ( they were also licensed as an anti depressant ) but the only place I can buy them is internet . I know it's daft but it would only be 3 months and then if he back to my preferred weight . I am rubbish at diets and have tried slim wod but don't really like the recipes and have about 3 meals I like and eat all the time so get bored . Iv tried low carb etc etc I just have no willpower and those pills made it so so easy and I literally took one pill a day and hardly felt hungry and after few bites I was full . They also made me feel so happy (antidepressant quality worked ) . I know il probably get called lazy and stupid for wanting to buy them . AIBU ? I have researched the health risks and it seems it's more risky if you are morbidly obese ?

I gave up sugar and my appetite decreased dramatically. It was hard though especially at first.

You can't give up sugar totally. You can eat less of it.
That stuff from boots is pure snake oil, all 'helps' with no evidence. Nothing changes metabolism.
