To want a decent London club for over 40's?

Sister's birthday (50th) and we'd like to go to a London club - think 70's/80's disco, funk etc. Looking for something like 'Havnt stopped dancing yet' but need it for Saturday 18th August. Can't find much. Any suggestions? Or aibu to think you can still go clubbing over when you're over 40? Think it might have to be cocktails and a meal (again!).

just wanted to say that the 18th august is a friday, if it makes much difference....

I like reflex in London, always a fun night for me. If there's a group of you you can book a table. Quite a lot of groups of birthdays and hen parties.

Wow, some great ideas, many thanks! I did look at Club de Fromage but went for a (great) Bowie night a few months ago next door and the crowd for Fromage looked young. Don't want to look too out of place! Will report back ...

Coffin Dodgers sounds great! Does anyone know if Guilty Pleasures have club nights still?

Try Revolution. I've been to a Soul night at the one in America Square. Was fantastic. Was for a 50th birthday.

Did Reflex for my DH 50th recently. Fab night. Not too old and we were the last group dancing at about 3am

Jazz Cafe or Ronnie Scott's. No cheesy hen nights, proper music. I would love to go clubbing for my 50th birthday - proper stuff!-

Don't fancy a bit of Maggie's on Fulham Road for a bit of 80s cheese and Thatcher speeches in the loos?

Strawberry Moons!! I hope it's all going, we had some wonderful nights there. Though be warned, it really hurts when you fall off one of those high tables. bloody bouncers need to be more careful when 'encouraging' you down

Thirding Club design Fromage though, great fun.
