Lenor unstoppable-12 weeks?

MelanieCheeks · 05/08/2017 21:22

Can anyone explain the attraction of 12 week's scent from lenor unstoppables?

If you wash clothes in it, does the scent hold for 12 weeks while you don't wear them? Or do wear them?

For bed linen, does the scent stay for 12 weeks until you change the bed? Who leaves it that long?

I'm failing to see the importance of 12 weeks. Help me understand!

It means you only have to wash your clothes every 12 weeks. It's v useful with a toddler.

Booboobooboo84 · 05/08/2017 21:25

Kindergarten lol. It means it stays fresh where you store it OP

Letitrain · 05/08/2017 21:27

It doesn't work. We had a sample. It lasted just as long as regular fabric conditioner.

Migraleve · 05/08/2017 21:27

Basically it's just another gimmick. Ignore and carry on

rogl · 05/08/2017 21:29

I use them on things like curtains and sofa cushion covers.
I wouldn't say it lasts that long but it does state only when kept in storage
So I guess in an airing cupboard it would probably last.
Also people like my mum have 101 different bed sheets so she strips the bed and a different on goes back on

K1092902 · 05/08/2017 21:33

I find it lasts longer if you dry on a clothes horse. I washed some clothes in it last week and it smells lovely still.

Bed linen still smells fresh 4 days later and i sweat quite a bit so I'm surprised.

Rockspin · 05/08/2017 21:37

I use them to freshen my Hetty vacuum! I just vacuum up a capful when I change the bag or every couple of weeks and it freshen s the bag better than anything else. No stale smell. Works in all vacuums!

Mumthedogsbeensick · 05/08/2017 21:37

We got a free sample and the scent didn't last 12 minutes never mind 12 weeks! Bloody crappy gimmick

cafenoirbiscuit · 05/08/2017 21:42

This is the most pointless laundry product I've ever bought. Bar none.

DaisysStew · 05/08/2017 21:46

Rockspin I just came on to say the same thing about my Henry, smells lovely every time I hoover.

HaudYerWheeshtBawbag · 05/08/2017 21:51

It works on curtains, bedding, towels and when I open my drawers I can smell the scent.

We had a group building exercise in my work last week and we had to describe each other with one word, it was done anonymously, and most of mine said I always smelled nice and when it was questioned they all said I smelled of soap powder and my favourite perfume.

Greenteandchives · 05/08/2017 21:54

No difference at all. Waste of money.

Betsy86 · 05/08/2017 22:03

Rockspin thanks for the hetty tip x

pinkunicornsarefluffy · 05/08/2017 22:53

I love them, makes bedding and clothes smell lovely. Lasts for several days on bedding.

BlooBagoo · 05/08/2017 22:58

We use an off-brand version and works just as well. We notice a big difference compared to not using them at all. Our water is weird here though and we've had issues with clothes smelling funny after being washed (and that's with regular maintenance washes being done).

Also very handy when work uniform suppliers decide to replace nice cotton shirts with sweat-inducing polyester ones, and when you have sweaty teenagers, definitely helps more than just detergent and fabric softener for that sort of thing.

PickAChew · 05/08/2017 22:59

Something stinking for 12 weeks sounds like my idea of hell.

SistersOfPercy · 05/08/2017 23:36

I used them until I read the packet, specifically the bit that says "harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects "

Decided it probably wasn't worth it for a product that didn't leave anything smelling for as long as claimed anyway.

Willow2017 · 05/08/2017 23:38

If you use fabric conditioner (I dont so I thats why I am asking) with the amazing perfume from the breath of a 1000 babies and essential oils from the rarest plants in the world mixed with rainbow dew, why would you then mask it by adding something that is so strong it smells for 12 weeks?

Arent they really strong smelling to start with?

viques · 05/08/2017 23:45

Are they those plastic balls that enter the sewage system then get swept out to sea where they disintegrate into micro particles that are eaten and absorbed by marine life? Good to know that when we have killed all the fish their rotting corpses will smell nice.

SistersOfPercy · 06/08/2017 00:13

I think they are essentially wax melts @viques rather than the plastic balls (I refuse to buy anything containing those). I believe it's harmful when introduced into the water course in large amounts, at least that was the vague answer lenor gave over Facebook a while back.

horsemadgal · 06/08/2017 00:19

The smell gives me a migraine Sad

missiondecision · 06/08/2017 00:23

It will be large amounts. Small amounts by a large amount of people.
I hate gimmicky nonexistent benefits.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 06/08/2017 01:13

On the description it says:

Up to 12 weeks of boosted freshness (in storage)

So you only get 12 weeks scent of it stays in storage.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 06/08/2017 01:13

*If

IdentifiesAsYoda · 06/08/2017 06:53

Yes, the 12week thing is a bit suspect, but they are good for bedlinen. Also, if you know you aren't going to be able to empty the washing machine straight away after it's finished, they prevent that stale odour
