I want to break up the school hols with a trip around london, kids never been and now they are both 9 i really want to take them. We live in a small town snd run out of much to do in the summer, since we are not going away at all i am looking at cheap days out. Only problem is my dh and mil all say its too dangerous and dont want me to go. They keep rattling on about it every moment. Am i crazy or has london really changed into syria?

The clink museum and borough market.

street performer who was really really good

Covent Garden street performers have to deserve their slots. It's not any random dodgy street performer who gets to perform there.

London is awesome. I dreamed of going to London as a nine year old and finally made it there in my twenties (I'm not from the UK). They will love it Smile

It's London not Rio De Janeiro and actually even that would be fine to take two children for a holiday. Your MIL sounds bonkers.

I grew up in London, it's far safer now than when I was growing up and cleaner. I took my children there recently, they loved it.
