I have ordered a present for the bride and groom of personalised champagne flutes and a gorgeous personalised photo frame.
The gifts came in a cardboard box together and are very well protected with bubblewrap etc.
I've checked them all and they are all in perfect condition as expected.

I CANNOT find a gift box anywhere that is deep enough to fit them all in. They would fit if they had less bubblewrap protection but I don't want to risk it.

Wibu to give said gifts in the cardboard box they came in with tissue paper & extra pretty things inside and then wrap the box up? Do people even care what the packaging looks like and it matters more that it's a nice present?

I'm worried they'll break otherwise.

Just wrap the box - it's fine.

That's fine, yanbu.

Can you wrap the box in nice paper?

Celticlassie · 03/08/2017 18:57

Definitely. If you've wrapped the cardboard box why wouldn't you? As you say, a gift bag would not hold them properly.

winefortea · 03/08/2017 18:57

Oops, ignore me! Missed the but in you OP about wrapping! D'oh!

SandyDenny · 03/08/2017 18:59

Why wouldn't you? Are there people who care about the box that a gift comes in?

Sharl2017 · 03/08/2017 19:00

Thank you all for your responses it's made me feel much better. I just hate that they can see the box has been opened but I couldn't gift them without checking everything was spelt right and not broken. I've made the inside of the box all pretty and have some paper for the outside.

Thanks all!Flowers

We received several gifts in that way, and it was only thinking back once you mentioned it that it even occurred to me. It sounds like a lovely thoughtful gift and I'm sure they'll be thrilled with it!
