I name changed since my last post just incase someone recognised me anyway..
I don't know if you remember my original post but someone rang my landlord and told them I wasn't living at my property then turned my electricity off from outside cupboard.
Well today I leave my flat and someone has tied a carrier bag to my front door filled with soil.
Also my wheely bin has been stolen..
I'm not paranoid now am I? Someone is doing this?
Luckily I've got the keys to my new flat and I'm decorating ..I have 3 weeks notice to give on my flat at the minute then I'm free.
I don't get why someone would do silly things.

That's awful and must be really intimidating. I hope you get to the bottom of it

Luluo2898 · 03/08/2017 12:43

It's making me feel a bit jittery if I'm honest ..I'm debating staying In my new flat with a sleeping bag till I finish decorating

Sounds like someone is doing it unfortunately. I know how you feel. Someone reported me for benefit fraud three times in 2 months and was banging on my door at night. I rang 101 and they sent police round to talk to me and reassured me so I would do this if you think it would help Flowers

I had a friend who went through similar. Turned out it was because he was Asian and the locals in his street didn't want him living there (predominantly white area).

Sorry you're having to go through it OP. This is horrid.

MumIsRunningAMarathon · 03/08/2017 12:54

Any ideas who op?

Genghi · 03/08/2017 12:57

Sleep in the new flat. But if you have an idea of who it could be, you could throw mud on their front door before you go?

MrsOverTheRoad · 03/08/2017 13:06

Can you get a cheap or even fake security camera and install it somewhere obvious?

thepumpk1neater · 03/08/2017 13:07

Do you have ay idea who it might be. The wheely bin incidents sound like it might be a neighbour?

Luluo2898 · 03/08/2017 13:16

I fell out with a friend a year ago and her male cousin lives opposite ..but I have always got on with him(gave him loads of things for his flat when he moved in etc )

I don't understand why, when you are getting this much hassle - and you have your new flat keys, you wouldn't just go and stay there? It's really easy to decorate round stuff!

No, you shouldn't have to, but why not save yourself the hassle and unsettled few weeks?

HooplaLoopla1 · 03/08/2017 13:23

Could it be the friend you fell out with who's doing this stuff when she goes round to visit her cousin?

Luluo2898 · 03/08/2017 13:25

The only reason is because I have no carpets or anything down and nothing decorated etc
But I'm tempted to just take my sleeping bag down or just stay at my dads.

When you do move make sure that whoever is removing your stuff does not speak out loud your new address, either in the flat, or near to it as you just won't know who could be listening. Make sure they know this when you book them, and remind them when they arrive at your place.

Luluo2898 · 03/08/2017 15:54

I will do deffo ..I can't wait to be away from the place now.
Even if I move in before its fully decorated
Il do it as I go

I think that's a good decision Luluo, so I wish you good luck in and a lovely new start your new home Flowers
