AIBU to think Health Visitors should give informed correct advice?

I've seen several threads on here where people mention poor advice from HVs. Yesterday, mine told me that after 6 months when you start weaning that baby will get most of its nutrition from solids HmmUm... Everything I've read says that main nutrition source is breast milk or formula for the first year. Some babies don't take to solids straight away! I just ignore the bad advice but perhaps some mums don't know better... What kind of ongoing training to HVs actually receive?

A baby needs milk for the first year and solids to compliment but it's more about learning until one. The health visitor is wrong.

I'm a nanny and I clash with health visitors often. I took my charge who was just starting solids as me and her mum agreed and the health visitor was so nasty to me saying that she expects to see Mum not nanny and that I should be supporting Mum breast feeding not forcing her to wean! Wtf lol the mhm was Brestfeeding and wanted to wean.

I had another health visitor in another job who was pleased I was the nanny as she said Nannys have more sense then mum's

You can't win with health visitors you really can't. They all have different advice and opinions it's confusing and unhelpful.
