To honk people who don't use their indicators?

Just that really.

I don't especially like driving but ever single day there's some twunt who suddenly turns without indicating, or just slows to a near halt before turning with no signals at all.

I've started honking them and occasionally shouting 'use your bloody indicators if I think they'll hear me

I'm being a dick aren't I?

YABU - 2 wrongs don't make a right do they and also it's illegal to honk aggressively at others.
Also you're letting this bother you which might then affect your driving if you're driving annoyed.
As Elsa said - let it go.

They're being dicks for but indication but you are also being a dick and breaking the Highway Code.

BlondeB83 · 01/08/2017 17:51

That was meant to say 'for not indicating'.

AmyGardner · 01/08/2017 17:53

What's the point? They either won't care, or won't realise that you're honking in relation to their lack of indication. Just save your stress for something important.

It is a pity that those who regularly fail to indicate are still allowed to drive.

Pannnn · 01/08/2017 18:36

I'd suggest to calm the fuck down. Don't beep, don't flash your lights, these things will confuse other road users. Be a better driver yourself.

I hate these people. I'm a pedestrian and regularly have to dive out of the way of non indicators. I find they are pretty exuberant with their use of the horn, so probably deserve it. It particularly bothers me when they quickly turn from a major road into the minor road that I'm already crossing.

I once got yelled at in the supermarket car park by a lady who said my lack of indicating nearly killed her and her child. She said she had driven behind me and noted my failure to indicate. She was going ballistic.

I'd heard her beeping me, I looked in my mirror and could see her waving her arms etc. She got right up my backside.

I was so confused about what I had done wrong, she then pointed out I failed to indicate when I went straight over on the roundabout.

That's right. I didn't indicate to go straight over. It wasn't even a funny shaped island, it was round with a clear straight over and one lane!

She nearly caused the accident by tooting her horn and driving like she was possessed.

I'd like to honk people who don't use their indicators, but I'm a pedestrian so it's a bit difficult. Grin. Seriously,it really winds me up when I'm waiting to cross a road and car is waiting to pull out of a side road opposite, not indicating. I can guarantee that if I chance it and cross, they'll come charging out,but if I wait, they'll turn in the opposite direction! Grrr.

BasketOfDeplorables · 01/08/2017 18:53

Maybe we should get horns, Spangles

LowGravity · 01/08/2017 19:00

I do not get why people don't use their indicators, it's about as lazy as you can get. They're right there next to your hand, it's a quick flick, a nanosecond. Saying that, I save honking the horn for dangerous idiots like the ones who start to reverse when you're right behind them, wtf is that all about? Clearly glancing in the mirror is too much to ask.
