18months post partum. Lost all my baby weight and then some (around a stone more). But none of my pre-pregnancy trousers for me.

Be honest with me. My hips will never shrink back will they Sad

Why don't people tell you this shit?

In pregnancy, your body releases hormone relaxin that allows the ligaments, that hold your pelvic bones together, to stretch and shift. So essentially, your hip / pelvic girdle is broader / wider and no unfortunately the hip bones pelvic girdle doesn't shrink back - no amount of diet and exercise will affect this either as it isn't muscle or fat related.

I'm what they flatteringly call a 'rectangle' shape, not a lot of hips and wide shoulders. Am pregnant and have noticed I have booty for the first time in my life. Actually quite hopeful I might have curvy hips in the long term (would make up for all the other stuff!). Appreciate that if you've always enjoyed a pear shape more hips might not be welcome news...

My bones have definitely moved since having children, and they were both csection babies. I remember discussing hips with colleagues years ago, I could easily span the distance between my hip bones (those sharp bits in front) with one hand. Can't any more! My ribs are also wider, I went up a back size in bras.
