To think she is being a drama queen?

A friend of mine has fallen out because I referred to her unborn child as it and not she. I didn't mean to offend and said it in passing.

I have some drama queen friends who then deleted me on instagram and whatsapp but left me on facebook.

FB probably gives them more potential snooping material than Instagram/Whatsapp.

She is being ridiculous

FB probably gives them more potential snooping material than Instagram/Whatsapp.

FB also is the only social media that allows you to pick and choose what people see. You cant do it on instagram but that drama queen friend left me on facebook, unbeknownst to her that I have restricted her access to my facebook. She cant see anything I post from the date she ditched me off instagram.

If she wants to unfriend me she can but she is literally not getting any reaction out of me.

I know someone who made everyone refer to the unborn baby by the name they picked. As in John, Jane and Bobby are coming for tea, when Bobby was a good few months from daylight.

Confused the buggery out of me until I worked out what was happending.

I know LOADS of people who don't want to 'jinx' it, whether they know the sex or not.

Me and DH refer to our 15 yr old as "it" all the time on front of her. eg

DD (snapping her jaws like a turtle) what's for supper?
me: It's hungry
DH: Does it want feeding again? I'm sure we fed it last week

please feel free to report us to SS

I refer to mine as #1 son, #2 son, and the girl one.

Tell her you were waiting for the baby to decide what its gender is...

I've always referred to children as IT and don't know why. Except close friends kids or older ones. As for babies it's always been IT as I often just don't always know if the parents are calling them by names or not. They've never seemed fussed.

I'll refer to my own growing baby as 'It' 'the alien' 'he' (we're having a boy) or 'the parasite' and the only people who don't like me doing so are the really old people I know. Except my nans. They find it hilarious. Everyone else joins in or calls him what they like as long as it's clear they're talking about the baby.

SilverBirchTree · 31/07/2017 03:21

Oh that is dramatic. She will get worse before she gets better.

Let her go

inkzooka · 31/07/2017 04:03

I prefer 'it' to 'baby'.

Not as in 'that's a baby!' but as in 'aww, baby's having a little cry cry!' 'what will you name baby?'

....Major pet peeve that's TOTALLY unfair and unfounded. It just makes me really uncomfortable when they refer to a baby as if 'baby' is their name :D
