And was that it? Thought it was going to be really funny but it was so mediocre -Bridesmaids was better and a lot funnier.

Just wanted to share that.

I found them both very funny!

Different strokes and all that...

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 26/07/2017 23:45

What!! I laughed like a loon when I watched it for the first time on an airplane and got a few dirty looks Blush

Florriesma · 26/07/2017 23:47

If you hated the hangover don't watch bad moms. It's the same people who made the hangover. It deserves it's own feminist thread that one but I've wasted enough of my life on it.

EachandEveryone · 26/07/2017 23:55

Loved The Hangover hated Bridesmaids and Bad Moms.

Oliversmumsarmy · 26/07/2017 23:56

Bridesmaids was a lot better & funnier! Grin

TurquoiseDress · 27/07/2017 00:05

But I really liked The Hangover too and have seen it a few times over the years!

TurquoiseDress · 27/07/2017 00:06

Loved Bad Moms & Horrible Bosses!

Butterymuffin · 27/07/2017 00:07

The tiger song's good. In fact it's the best bit.

Anyone going to see Girls' Trip?

bambambini · 27/07/2017 00:11

Must admit, thought Bad Moms was pretty bad.

Oh, it's awful. I was persuaded to go and see it in a cinema (I paid!) and I knew from the first "joke" that this was going to be a looooooong 90 minutes.

Bridesmaids more bearable but still shit really. Both summer films.

MsGameandWatching · 27/07/2017 00:21

I thought it was funny. Especially the bit with the police getting the kids to taser them Grin and I love Stu's songs. I thought Bridesmaids was awful tbh.

Andylion · 27/07/2017 01:01

Bridesmaids was one of the few times I have cried with laughter.

Namesarehard · 27/07/2017 01:10

I laughed so much at the hangover the first time I watched it. I very nearly pissed myself in parts.

Was excited to watch bridesmaids. What a shit film. I even left the cinema while it was still on. Utter crap.

73kittycat73 · 27/07/2017 01:20

I agree, it was rubbish, but -
-Bridesmaids was better and a lot funnier.
found that to be a pile of trash too. Didn't laugh once.

Oliversmumsarmy · 28/07/2017 10:06

Saw Bad Moms with my teens. The bits where she is running kids around trying to fit everything in . Trying to get them to school on time. Work, after school activities, the bake sale, I am the world's worse cook. They were in hysterics. They kept pointing and saying thats you.

Haven't ever done the supermarket scene but I did once find one of my friends on a shelf in Tesco playing hide and seek with some others. This was at 3 in the afternoon and all the kids had gone to PGL

derxa · 28/07/2017 10:13

Both hilarious and I usually hate this genre of comedy. Melissa McCarthy can do no wrong in my eyes.

TowerRose · 28/07/2017 10:19

I thought bridesmaids was absolutely awful, I love the Hangover films though!

MrsJoyOdell · 28/07/2017 10:28

I bloody love the Hangover but prefer the second one. Bridesmaids was ok. Bad Moms is awful but I love it Grin

bambambini · 28/07/2017 10:49

Nope Bridesmaids is better - end of!

I do find Forgetting Sarah Marshall" really funny though. And Mr Deeds. I obviously have impeccable comedic taste.

Saw it on a flight back from Vegas, loved it. May have been a bit biased mind.

TrinityTaylor · 28/07/2017 11:32

I loved them both

Then again I love peter Kay and donttheir find tim Minchin that funny (clever tho,) so I dont think I belong on mumsnet Grin

llangennith · 28/07/2017 11:37

Maybe it's a blokes' film? My son loved it and said it was hilarious so I watched it with him. Mildly amusing.

Firesuit · 28/07/2017 13:00

I think its the third hangover film where they go abroad to an Asian country and a young Asian character suffers permanent injury, to his hands, I think something like finger cut off by gangster. I think you can only have that as part of a comedy plot if you don't expect your audience to care as much about an Asian character. (Normally in a comedy something that bad could only happen to a character you had reason not to sympathise with, in this case it was an important secondary character who if anything was more likeable than the main characters. )
